Healing Doesn't End at Discharge
Many veterans come home carrying more than what shows on paper: stress, pain, sleep struggles, isolation, and the challenge of finding care that treats the whole person.

Between 11% and 20% of veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan have PTSD in a given year. About 12% of Gulf War veterans do too. For comparison, about 7-8% of the general population will experience PTSD in their lifetime.

THE VENUE
AMERICAN LEGION
American Legion in Annapolis, MD, serves as a key organization advocating for veterans, service members, and military families. It provides resources for mental health support, peer-to-peer assistance, and community engagement programs.
The American Legion also offers youth programs such as American Legion Baseball and oratorical contests, which focus on leadership and character development. Additionally, it engages in legislative advocacy to address the needs of veterans and their families.
